Transparent objects frequently do not completely block light beams. The beams are weakened or scattered to a certain degree. Small signal changes are reliably detected in order to effectively register transparent objects.
A weakening of the signal is typically associated with the presence of an object. However, a transparent object can also cause a bundling of light beams that falsifies the result in classic measurements. The RapidoScan light curtain detects deviations in both directions, thereby increasing the registration quality for transparent media.
Your benefits
- Measurement of transparent objects
- More reliable object evaluation for beam-bundling objects
